THE CAROLINE HARRIS EVENTING TEAM
Sam Griffiths – Mentor
“I have worked with Caroline for a number of years and watched her progress into a highly skilled event rider. Based at our yard here in Dorset, I have become Caroline’s mentor and have greatly enjoyed supporting her and working with her to achieve her goal to become one of the UK’s leading young riders.
“Caroline’s attention to detail, incredible work ethic and strong determination can only be admired. It is these attributes, as well as her elite level riding skills, that will take Caroline to the top.”
Ros Morgan – CH Eventing Jumping Coach
(Elite Equestrian Show-Jumping Coach BE and BS)
“I have had the pleasure of working with Caroline for nearly four years and in that time I have watched her develop into a bright star for the future. Originally having a reputation for producing very nice young horses she is now becoming recognised as an extremely competent and consistent 2* rider and a rapidly improving 3* / Advanced Rider.
“She is absolutely thorough in her production of her team of horses, always putting confidence and competence above result driven performance, allowing for owner involvement and enjoyable reward. Attention to detail is my mantra and honest, open discussion regarding the best possible route for the horse to take, and with Caroline I am always rewarded”.
Lisa White – International FEI Grand Prix Dressage Rider and CH Eventing trainer.
(CC1 4*, Olympic, World and European Championship level trainer.)
“Caroline has a natural talent and ability that is very exciting to work wirh. She makes horses confident, so the training process is accelerated, and every horse is achieving their very best at each level. Physically, she has the ability to be truly ‘with” a horse when she rides, which creates the harmony and lack of tension that is respected and rewarded by top level judges.
“She has the determination and work ethic to match her ambitions, and a loyal team of owners and family to support her. I have absolutely no doubt that she will achieve success at the highest levels of the sport.”
Georgie Milsom – Head Girl
Our Vets – Amanda and Victoria O’Gorman and Georgie Varley
Gibbs Marsh Equine Vets
Our Vets are an essential part of our team. Having competed themselves they are, therefore, fully aware of the necessity to keep horses in peak condition and are available on a 24 hrs basis to deal not only with routine problems but also the unexpected.
Physio – Theresa Dufosse
Theresa is a highly experienced physio and a very important member of the team. She knows and treats each horse as an individual and is instrumental in maintaining their general physical wellbeing and suppleness.
The Farrier – Tigga Barnes
Having formally been a successful point-to point jockey Tigga Barnes knows the pressures of looking after competition horses. He visits the yard on average every 6 weeks but is always on call should he be needed.
Caroline’s little 7 year old dog of terrier heritage. Utterly devoted to each other he regularly travels to events (in a supervisory capacity of course) but also looks after the yard when the humans are out doing other things. He is going to write a weekly blog so everyone knows what is going on. Want a job done – give it to a busy dog.
