After a number of ‘frustrating-for-all event cancellations’ earlier in the Spring, Caroline’s season got off to a cracking start at Aston-le-Walls on 10 May 2018.

  • Billy Bumble made a brilliant comeback finishing second 30 Dressage double clear in the Open Intermediate (behind Tim Price).
  • Falko TH was phenomenal in his second ever intermediate to lead the Dressage on a 30.2 followed up by a brilliant double clear just adding a few time xc time penalties , to finish 3rd in the Intermediate.
  • The 7yo Isington Red Faerie did a beautiful test to score a 30, rolled a couple of poles where she’s just learning to jump the bigger fences, followed up by storming round the xc.
  • Epica also did a lovely test with one mistake to score a 31. Just the one pole rolled due to being a little ring rusty. Sadly a mix up by the team at Aston meant she didn’t run cross country but will go to Tweseldown very soon instead.

“I am feeling so pleased for Bumble and extremely lucky to also have such a quality team of horses coming up through the grades,” commented Caroline.
